Candidates in their 2nd Year of preparation will choose a Saint and write a report. There is a Saint Worksheet to be completed (contained in the Confirmation folder, see "Parents"). The worksheet gives more detail on how to write the report and when it is due to be turned in.

The chosen saint will become the candidates Confirmation name, and the student will be confirmed in the name of that saint. The significance of taking on the name of the Saint follows many examples in scripture. Throughout scripture, God changes the name of someone at a crucial time in their lives. He changed Abram's name to Abraham when He made Abraham the "father of many nations"; and He changed Saul's name to Paul after experiencing a conversion of heart.
