The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is comprised of a group of parents that volunteer their time to give back to the Rainbow Days program and the St. Jude Catholic Church community. This committee acts as the representatives of the school population to the administrative staff of Rainbow Days and the parish.

The advisory committee consists of the pastor of the parish, up to 12 members chosen from the community or Rainbow Days program with children enrolled for the duration of the term, the Director of Children's Ministries and the Assistant Director of Rainbow Days. All PAC members serve a 2-year consecutive term on the committee. The committee operates on a rotating term to insure continual coverage at all times.

   Rainbow Days Preschool

Members of PAC at Rainbow Days will:

  • Assist with defining the policies of admission, attendance and tuition
  • Attend monthly meetings and special sessions
  • Vote on fundraising events for the upcoming year
  • Work with the Rainbow Days community to get parental involvement for all activities
  • Assist with planning and organizing the following PAC/St. Jude sponsored events:

    o August In-service luncheon
    o Fun Friday/Meet the Teacher Day
    o Playground clean ups
    o St. Jude Carnival
    o St. Jude Craft Fair
    o Staff Appreciation Luncheons
    o Valentine's Day Bake Sale
    o Parish registration assistance for Rainbow Days
    o Open House
    o Family Dinner
    o PAC informational meetings and interviews
    o Scholarship Committee
    o Graduation/Crossover Celebration
    o Staff Appreciation Dinner

The committee volunteers fill the following positions:
  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Special Events Coordinator
  • Large Events Coordinator/Assistant Large Events Coordinator
  • Communications Coordinator
  • Floaters (as needed)
