Our Program

Rainbow Days is a quality, enrichment program for 2, 3, 4, and 5 year old children sponsored by the community of St. Jude Catholic Church. It is comprised of appropriate play and learning experiences that contribute to the religious, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each child.

Philosophy of the Rainbow Days Preschool

Our philosophy is based on the belief that every child is a wonderful gift from God, made in His image and likeness, and that they are filled with dignity, goodness, and an incredible potential for discovery, learning, and growth. We believe in providing age appropriate activities for the children that will develop and enhance their natural curiosity and imagination. We also believe that parents are the primary teachers of their preschool children and that they are entrusting them to our loving care. Accordingly, the family is an integral part of our program and their participation is an essential element to the success of our program.

Times of Operation

  • Rainbow Days offers one and two day classes for 2 year olds on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00am -2:00pm.

  • The 3 year olds attend two days a week, Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday for 9:00am-2:00pm.

  • Our 4 year olds program offers a 2-day and a 3-day option; M/W OR T/Th OR M/T/W, OR M/T/Th, OR M/W/Th, OR T/W/Th from 9:00am -2:00pm. Some classes may be filled using a lottery system.

  • Children in our Five’s Enrichment program attend Monday thru Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm and they must by five by September 1st to attend this class.

  • A 9 month calendar, which coincides with the Allen ISD calendar, is followed by Rainbow Days.

The Curriculum
We offer a theme-based curriculum with age appropriate activities for each age group. These activities include appropriate centers and activities to build important foundations for future skills. Music is an important part of each day. Our goal is to give each child many experiences to allow their own creativity to be enhanced.

Special Programs
During the year various activities are planned to enhance the preschooler's education. Some of these include field trips, special visitors, Thanksgiving Feasts, a Music Program, Little Olympics, Holiday celebrations, and graduation. Our special music program and Open House take place annually in the early spring. Everyone is invited to attend the program!

Safe Environment
All Rainbow Days Staff have completed the Safe Environment program which includes a criminal background check and a safe environment training program.
