Each month, (from September thru June) St. Jude offers a Children's Mass. This program works in conjunction with the fifth and sixth grade Religious Education program as a way to involve the children to participate in all areas of the Mass. The homily for this Mass is specifically directed to the children who are invited to sit around the altar during the homily. This year the children's offering schedule is as follows:
September 25th: “We Care for the Community”
Collecting kitchen utensils for refugees
October 30th: “We Care for Our Sister Parish”
Collecting sports equipment for the children of St. Cecilia
November 27th: “We Feed the Hungry”
Collecting cereal for the Allen Food Pantry
December 24th at 4pm, 6pm, and 8pm: We Care For Little Children
Collecting new, small stuffed animals for the hospital and fire department
January 29th: “We Send Love to Our Seniors”
Collecting Toiletries for the residents of Victoria Gardens and other senior centers in our parish area
February 26th: “We Give Drink to the Thirsty”
Collecting “Milk” money for the Russian Orphanage
March 25th: “We Clothe the Poor”
Baby items for Gabriel’s Project and the Foster Home Association
April 29th: “We Care for Neighborhood Schools”
Collecting books for area schools to give to the children for summer reading
May 20th: “We Care for the Sick”
Collecting rosaries to give to patients in the hospital
June 10th: “We Care for Our Community”
Collecting school supplies for the Children’s Advocacy Center
