Each month, (from August thru June) St. Jude offers a Children's Mass. This program works in conjunction with the fifth and sixth grade Religious Education program. The children participate in all areas of the Mass. The homily for this Mass is specifically directed to the children who are invited to sit around the altar during the homily. This years children's offering schedule is as follows:
September 27th: “We Care for the Children”
Collecting birthday box items for children at the Samaritan Inn to celebrate their birthdays
October 18th: “We Care for Our Sister Parish in Honduras”
Collecting books written in Spanish
November 15th: “We Feed the Hungry”
Collecting canned food for the Allen Food Pantry & Collecting items for the Juliet Fowler Home
December 24th at 4pm, 6pm, and 8pm: We Care For Little Children
Collecting new, small stuffed animals for the hospital and fire department
January 24th: “We Send Love to Our Seniors”
Collecting Toiletries for the residents of Victoria Gardens and other senior centers in our parish area
February 14th: “We Give Drink to the Thirsty”
Collecting “Milk” money for the Russian Orphanage
March 7th: “We Clothe the Poor”
Baby items for Project Gabriel and the Foster Home Association
April 18th: “We Care for the Sick”
Collecting items for City House
May 9th: “We Care for a neighborhood school”
Collecting books for an area school to give to the children for summer reading
June 27th: “We Care for Our Community”
Collecting school supplies for the Children’s Advocacy Center
