The Toolbox Ministry at St. Jude’s
is a group of parishioners with a mutual desire to share
their widely varying levels of God-given “handyperson”
skills with others. We service both our fellow parishioners
and those outside our parish community. Our efforts
supporting fellow parishioners have included replacement
of siding, installation of garbage disposals, replacement
of fences, changing light bulbs, installation of shelving,
wheelchair ramps, etc. We maintain active relationships
with the North and South Collin County
Habitat
for Humanity groups and support their new home construction
and home repair activities. We also have provided our
expertise on community projects identified by St. Jude’s
CSI Ministry,
most recently with the
Missionaries
of Charity in Oak Cliff. There is typically at least one
opportunity to work per month.
