Sabá, Colón, March 20, 2007
Rev. Timothy A. Church, Pastor
Saint Jude Catholic Church
Allen , TX
Dear Fr. Tim,
Please receive from your sister parish, St. Rita,
our most cordial and respectful greetings.
We infinitely thank you for your most valuable support
for our parish. Indeed, it is because of your help
that it has been possible to realize some projects
and the evangelization mission that our Lord has entrusted
us with. We hope that God will continue to mutually
support us and thus continue strengthening our parishes.
After a discerning process realized by the Parish
Brotherhood Commission, we have been able to prioritize
the projects according to the most urgent needs in
our parish. We here present those projects to you
with the hope that, within your abilities, you may
continue providing your valuable support.

Music School
We have started pre-registration for our second
year. We already have several candidates.
The plan is to continue with 30 students: 15 in
guitar, and 15 in keyboard for another seven months,
and to continue supporting graduates as needed.
At the end of 2006, we had Lps 9,786.73 ($518) which
we are using to finish up the first phase. For the
second graduating class we need Lps 32,100.00 ($1,698).

Temples Construction
Palos de Agua Abajo Temple (Trees Down
River Temple)
The Palos de Agua Abajo temple is a new community,
born in 2006 and served by the Saba faithful. With
their support, and despite severe financial limitations,
they have obtained land to build a prayer house.
They have started construction and the walls are
now practically finished. Now, they need to build
the beams with rebar and concrete. Then they will
have the roof, doors, windows, electricity and other
details. The total amount of the work is over Lps
150,000 ($7,939.00) out of which we are asking you
for Lps 52,332 ($2,700).

Lomitas Temple Remodeling
San Juan Bautista de Lomitas, in Olanchito,
Yoro community is doing so well that their temple
is insufficient for the needs of the faithful for
special occasions, like Sacrament celebrations, anniversaries,
faith formation, youth meetings, and the Celebration
of The Word.
For these reasons the community has decided to extend
the temple 25 feet behind the altar, plus they also
have plans to build the Holy Chapel.

They have been working on many activities
to collect funds and pursue their construction plans.
They are willing to continue with these efforts and
do whatever is necessary to achieve their objectives.
However, given the cost of the work, they will not
be able to accomplish it without external support.
The estimate for the work is Lps 182,820 ($9,676) but the community is sure
that if they receive support for Lps 80,000 ($4,234)
they could struggle to come up with the rest until
they can finish the work.

Santa Lucia Bell Tower
Santa Lucia is a very active community. They have
several very dedicated pastoral agents and a beautiful
temple. (They have already received your valuable
support for their fence.)
Now they are working to build a bell tower in the
front of their temple. This project is estimated
at Lps 79,214 ($4,193). They request Lps 40,000
($2,117). The rest, the community is willing
to absorb until they finish the work.
We continue to think about a project that allows
us to have a fixed income and accomplish certain amount
of financial stability. In this area, the African
Palm is one of the most profitable plantations, but
also one of the most expensive. Every Manzana(0.7
hectare) of Palma in production carries a cost of
around Lps 90,000 ($4,763). We are thinking about
8 Manzanas, which would cost around Lps 720,000 ($36,105).
This we consider to be a long term project that wouldnt
be possible without external help.

Priests Home
Every day, our parish looks better. Thanks to your
support, we have remodeled the Temple, which now
looks elegant. With the support we have received
from the communities, we have built the wall, but
the Priests home is lacking a touch of elegance,
since the outside of the wall doesnt have
the finish.
The work estimate is Lps 53,210 ($2,816). The expected
community support is Lps 10,000 ($529). To complete
the work we will need Lps 43,210 ($2,286).

We are profoundly thankful for your great contribution
toward the 2007 Operating Plan. We consider this
project the highest priority because without your
support, it wouldnt be possible to carry on
all the other activities that we need, and that
are vital to our Parish.
The most important thing is the friendship and fraternity
that brings our two parishes together, and in this
we will continue growing as brothers.
May God bless you forever.

are probably 10 - 12.
